Tour 12 – Tailor-made tours

• Flexible itineraries

We offer a personal service so having complete flexibility in the tours we offer. They are tailor made to suit your needs so if you contact us with specific areas which you would like to visit or, for example, follow in your ancestor’s footsteps, we can put together a proposed tour for you.

• Tour and Accommodation packages

We also offer tours combined with accommodation either in Les Alouettes B&B or in our well appointed gite/self-catering cottage Fairbanks. Please see our website www.lesalouettes.net for details.

• Personal tours

Our tours are purely personal with the same family or group with no other people joining the tour which is in line with the Covid-19 regulations.

• Walking tours

Apart from offering tours in our registered/insured tour vehicle we offer a variety of walking tours locally on the Somme and further afield. And we can organise a walking tour say following in your Great Grandfather’s footsteps or in a particular action or regiment.

• Specific tours – Nationality

We can put together a tour to cover the main strategic areas where the Australian, New Zealand, Canadian, South African, Irish, Welsh, Scottish or American’s served.

• Duration of the tour

Our tours range from one day to several days depending on the areas which you would like to visit.

• Research

We always undertake research into a particular ancestor’s war service to personalise the tour as part of the package. It is priceless to stand on the spot to see where a Great Grandfather stood before heading into battle and we can achieve this by referring to the War Diaries etc.

• Hop on guide – coach

We offer purely guiding services where we we meet your coach or tour vehicle and head out for the day where the groups are large.
